Central New Mexico Community College is the largest community college in New Mexico, serving about 30,000 students with 150+ degrees, certificates and training options.

The college currently offers a competency-based Retail Management Certificate as part of its partnership with the Western Association of Food Chains. The Retail Management Certificate is designed to advance the careers for employees in the retail industry. Courses in this program are offered in a 7-week block format. Students can begin with one or two courses at the beginning of each 7-week block. Once they complete the courses initially registered for, they may add additional courses. Students are encouraged to complete as many courses as they are able to during each 7-week block to accelerate progress through the program. The program also charges a flat-rate, all-inclusive tuition for the entire certificate.

The CBE Retail Management Certificate program was approved by the Higher Learning Commission in fall 2017. The college is actively developing two more CBE programs: a Business Administration Associate Degree and a General Education Certificate.
